About LTTR

No. LTTR works fully offline, no account or sign-in required. You can write, organize, and export letters without ever creating a profile.

LTTR organizes writing in three levels. Libraries are your top-level collections, like "Work" or "Personal." Books group letters inside a Library, like "Q1 Reports" or "Ideas." Letters are individual documents. Create as many of each as you like.

Yes. Tap Templates from the new letter menu to browse built-in starting points, including story structures, formal letter layouts, and blank documents. Pro lets you save your own as custom templates.

Your letters are never touched by AI. No AI reads, analyzes, or trains on your writing. Like most modern software teams, the LTTR developer uses AI-powered coding tools to build the app faster, but those tools only see source code, never your letters. If optional AI features are ever added, on-device grammar checking, for example, they'll be opt-in, clearly disclosed, and processed locally on your device. Only you. No AI reads your writing. No LTTR server ever receives your letter content. If you choose optional cloud sync, iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, or Google Drive, your letters travel through your own account, never through Mautonce servers.

Letters are saved on your device by default. You can also sync to the Files app with iCloud, or connect Dropbox, OneDrive, or Google Drive. Change your storage location any time in Libraries → Storage & Sync.

Yes. LTTR auto-saves as you type. A brief save indicator confirms when changes are written to disk. You can also press ⌘S (Mac) or Ctrl+S (Windows/Linux) any time.

LTTR may send anonymous crash and error reports to Sentry to help fix bugs. No letter text, file names, or account info are ever included. Opt out any time by blocking outbound requests to sentry.io in your network settings. See our full Privacy Policy at https://www.lttr.now/legal.

Pro adds bigger Scroll boards, custom templates, Letter Lock, writing history, Pro prompt packs, and more. It's billed through the App Store and you can cancel any time; you keep every Free feature permanently.

A Pro feature that protects an individual letter behind your device's Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN. Nothing biometric is ever sent to or stored by LTTR; the check happens entirely on your device through the OS.

In Libraries, long-press or swipe a letter or book to reveal the delete option. Deleting a letter removes it from your device and from synced storage if sync is active. This action can't be undone.

In Settings → Writing → Typing targets, choose whether you're tracking typing or recording, then set a global rhythm and optional per-letter goals. Free includes one global target plus targets on up to 5 letters; Pro adds unlimited letter targets. Reminders use generic lock-screen text, never your letter content.

Save a version any time before a big rewrite, or mark one as a draft to come back to later. Versions and drafts live in the letter's own Versions panel, where you can open, restore, or copy any of them. Nothing is versioned automatically; LTTR autosaves for safety, but a version is only made when you ask for one. Free keeps 5 drafts and 10 versions per letter; Pro raises that to unlimited drafts and 100 versions.

Open Libraries → Recents and tap Today's prompt or Random prompt to start a new letter with starter text. You can also use Insert → Prompts while editing. Prompt packs beyond the free categories require LTTR Pro.

Focus Mode hides the app chrome and gives you a clean, distraction-free writing canvas, with a session timer and word goal ring on Pro. Toggle it with ⌘⇧M on desktop; on mobile, enter compose mode from the letter banner for a similar minimal view.
